We notice that pair of words sandwiches the name of a type of sandwich from around the world, except missing one letter! The extra letters from the starts and ends of the word pairs match those from the letter banks in the top and bottom buns respectively. Extracting the missing letters, we obtain the answer, TEA BIB.

Puzzle Potluck 2 ran a puzzle about sandwiching words, and this year, Puzzle Potluck 4 ran a puzzle about sandwiches. We thought, why not sandwich the sandwiches themselves? As a result, the answer comes from the letter sandwiched in the sandwiched sandwiches!
